Ahmed S.I. Moosa is the founder and Editor in Chief of the Dhivehi Observer news website. He is also a founding member of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), which was formed in Nov. 2003. Because of his work with Dhivehi Observer, he does not hold any elected position in MDP, but continues to work closely with the party leadership to promote democracy and respect for human rights in the Maldives.
